Chincoteague Vacation Guide
Chincoteague Island is famous for it's pony swim, an annual wild pony auction held as a fundraiser for the local fire department. It's quiet, quite hot and there are loads of mosquitoes but the locals are friendly and it's a great home base for boaters and those headed to the National Wildlife Refuge on nearby Assoteague Island.
