Frescoes! May 10, 2011
Work on this church began in late fourteenth century and was completed in the fifteenth century. The frescoes in particular are very good here, and though they are fading and little seems to be done to retain the ones that still exist, it’s worth coming to see them while they are still there. The remains of Saint Margherita are found here as well. I really liked the memorial to the soldiers who lost their lives in the world wars too; a great mix of the medieval and something that’s more modern. The main sights of the town aren’t that time-consuming, so if you see this church on the map, you’re bound to have a quick five or ten minutes to pop in!
