And so we came to our final day in Chico. It was a quiet morning of final visits, final laughs, and a final great meal of Donna's. She showed me how to do some things on the site I had volunteered to do, and I packed up. We all stuffed some envelopes for the people getting verifie…

Suing, I left Berkeley around 6pm, which would give me enough time to
get to Chico before 9pm to eat dinner and party with fellow Chico
State-ers (Chico State University used to be the number 2 party school
in the United States a…

How sad! We had to take her back today. I drove to the airport (about 1 1/2 hrs from Chico), and then Jesse hopped in the driver's seat to drive around a few times while I walked Laura inside. It felt weird saying goodbye, and I thought, "I guess this is how people do things when …

What was supposed to be a 2-day drive back home from Arcata, CA turned into a hunt for good beer and beautiful scenery over 7 days. Lesson learned: Always take the long way home!

Nice drive in rain from Weaverville to Chico, to stay at the Best Western Hotel there. The area has a lot of walnut plantations! The best thing for me, about Chico, was Chico FM on the radio. A big relief to get some music that fits my musical taste, rather than Country music or religious preaching.

Across the USA in 31 Days and over 8500 Miles on my Harley Sportster. One of the most amazing trips I've ever taken. Left home with 2000 dollars a 20 yr old motorcycle, and my fingers tightly crossed! This trip let me see just what the US really is from coast to coast, changing my opinion about people. (For every one nasty person you meet out there you meet TEN NICE PEOPLE)
