Visually attractive cultural center Aug 16, 2013
We were driving towards Oklahoma City from Dallas and we decided to give this place a try. We were actually looking for a real Indian reservation, and I guess this center is inside one, but we couldn't find the current lifestyle of the natives that we were looking for.

Nevertheless, it is an interesting place to visit, specially if you are into sociology or interested in indigenous cultures.

Everything in this complex is reconstructed, so you won't find original structures like in other places. They have an amphitheater, a Chickasaw village, and exhibitions with costumes and paintings about the old lifestyle of the tribe.

There are also fountains and several structures that make the place a nice place to hang out on a Sunday. Their cafeteria is extremely cheap and you won't pay taxes in there ;) I recommend having their traditional taco :) it was very good.
