Good thing I arrived home to Chicago last night, instead of today. Apparently the UK had discovered a plot to blow up some planes on its way from the UK to the US, and now they are not allowing any liquids (toothpaste, shampoo, drinks, etc.) in the carry on luggage. T…

So I've been incredibily nervous about going to Chicago. I get in at midnight and have to take a cab to a hostel all by myself. So I asked a family at the baggage claim if they might know how much cab fare it would take to get me there, and instead, they took me to their home in a stretch limo! Now,…

I have come to really hate Lufthansa Airlines. it has nothing do with their service, but i swear that someone places people in their seats has something against me. i do not know the reason why. I always try to be polite and nice when flying, but they always place me next to peopl…

First and foremost, I made it to Wales safely! The trip was long. In order to make it to Wales on September 6th, I had to leave Atlanta at 3:00PM on September 5th. I flew into Chicago to later catch my lovely eight hour flight to London. I wish I could honestly say that my flight…

After a night of not much sleep my father, brother, Katka and I set off from Katka's place to the train station. The bags seemed to be a lot heavier than I had expected them to be. Even after I had left my tent behind. Katka said goodbye on the train station and my family and I set off with the…

To be honest, my extremities went numb because of the cold and I could not feel them after waiting in line for skate rental. It was about 26F outside on a Saturday morning. A little too chilly for a gal from the South. But I was determined to ice-skate at the Millennium Park, and there I was standi…

It was my first time going to New Orleans. My sister and I went for Jazz Fest. The city is awesome. The people are nice and the city has a great vibe. I want to go back every year if I can. If you love music it is a must to go here. The food was very good. You have to try some crawdads. Also I recomend getting away from all the tourist areas and try some hole in the walk local spots. Some have the best food and you meet some very interesting people.
