Just a day at the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago, IL It’s a nice zoo if you have not been there before; just make sure you have some good walking shoes!

We decided to do a road trip to Chicago (initially it was supposed to be South Carolina) and get drivers lisences for my boyfried and his brothers girlfriend (if you dont have papers its impossible in Miami, the only place we've heard you could do it is in Chicago)So we grabbed up my boyfriends Kia and packed it with the four of us and his brothers baby....quite the trip....both great....and at times regretful. And as I dont like to let myself regret things much...Ill only speak of the good

Just one leg of road trip across US

During the summer of 2003 I went to Malawi, Africa for about a month. I spent most of my time working with Save Orphans Ministries (SOM)...tearing down old houses to reuse the bricks, helping out with VBS, and just getting to know the people there. At the end of the trip we had a couple days to relax (we got to go on a safari).

I decided to stop over in Chicago instead of any other cities of the US. The reason is I could visit Paco, another Mexican friend, when I were on the way to his country.. haha.. I had great fun in Chicago, tho I'm comparely not appreciate and enjoy the life of the US.

I would like to take you to many great places to check out in Chicago that isn't in the everyday Tourist Trap. Lets explore my city and the many great little hidden places you must see that you wont find on your travel guide of Chicago. Everyone else might say "Oh you have to Walk Michigan Ave." "You must See Grant Park" "Did you go to John Hancock Building?" "Wow the Sears Tower" Well I say thumbs down to that.
