Staying with Jesse's Aunty Judi in Chicago and we were treated so well. We visited the Milennium park again and managed to catch a great evening concert. We caught the view from the 95th floor of the John Hancock building and walked along the pier. I always feel at home in chicago and there's so much to do.

I really tried to finish up my packing on Wednesday night, however, I found myself scrambling on Thursday morning as I sorted through clothing choices, narrowing down for the final picks, putting everything in piles, in small bags, ready to be thrown into my pack when the time came to leave. Perhaps I gave myself a little bit more time considering the fact that I knew my day began later than normal with parent-teacher conferences starting at 12PM. :) I also knew that my last conference to tra...

We had decided to attend Displace ME in Chicago. That meant a 6 hour drive. We had to leave after class, etc., so the sun was setting when we finally made it to Chi-town. Boy, were we tired. Which seemed appropriate, since we were trying to help raise awareness for people who were forced to walk from their homes carrying all their possessions. One of our group is actually from the Chicago area, so we stayed with her parents that night. We all watched the Invisible Children documentary again, ...

We flew from Minneapolis to Chicago to pick up our extra car. Andy changed bases from Chicago to DC for his job. We drove through South Bend, IN and along I-80 until we hit the split to Pittsburgh. We stayed near Shanksville for the night. It was a good 9 hour drive.

Well we started the trip off with a bit of a scare. Due to the blizzard hitting Chicago we weren't sure if our plane was going to be cancelled or not. With our good friend Christopher and his lady friend Azuree, we braved the storm and made it to our plane. We love all of you guys we are leaving behind (Misty, Bubby, Mia, Scarlett, and Gladys & everyone else I didn't have time to mention), and can't wait to see you again. The next time I write it will be from the future.

The train arrived in Chicago at 10:05AM, 1 hour late. I have a 13 hour layover until my train back to Fostoria, OH. The weather today is very cold, windy and blowing sleet. Because I had a sleeper room, I'm able to go into the Metropolitan Lounge, which is for First Class passengers only. I feel somewhat special! At least I'm able to put my luggage in there without having to pay for a locker rental.I headed outside and boarded a bus, asking the driver to alert me wherever there is a movie the...
