What a wonderful hotel.....the staff was very friendly and polite. There is a little gift shop near the check in counter. It's a little confusing at first because when you enter from ground level check in isn't there, you have to go up to I believe the 3rd floor.
Our room was fantastic. Great ...

A nice and clean hotel with a friendly staff. A great location especially if you want to do shopping and partying. The room was very small but it doesn't really matter. Who spends time in the hotel anyway? Breakfast is included in the price.
Whenever I go back to Chicago, I will definitely try to g...

I stayed two nights at the Fairmont last weekend and had a great time. I was traveling for a business meeting on monday and just happened to have my birthday on the sunday before. The hotel was close to the water but equially distant from state street shopping and michigan ave. It was a little fa...

This charming hotel is located on the heart of Chicago downtown. You would not find modern, clean lines of standard hotels in this place. The hotel shows off traditional architecture and plush designs.
My room was a standard guest room with a small kitchen. It was very nice room – big window ov...

I thought this was a lovely place in a very sterile location (right off Michigan) but it did not disappoint. We were treated with a lot of courtesy and the place was comfortable and convenient. I would recommend it but look elsewhere if you need cheaper options.

The Wyndham Downtown is a nice, slightly upscale hotel approximately 2 blocks from the Michigan Ave shopping district, and about 15 blocks from the museum district. The room was relatively unremarkable, but pleasant and clean. All the standard amenities are available (WiFi, TV, Pay-Per-View, swimm...

This was a great value for a downtown Chicago hotel. Located only two blocks from the Magnificent Mile I was within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, ESPN Zone, Soldier Field, Shedd Aquarium, Centenial Park and a host of other touristy stuff.
The room I got listed for $229/night, but i w...

The hotel is definitely located on the right spot of downtown. It is just a block off the Magnificent Mile on East Ontario. It is close the shops, restaurants, Navy Pier, and tons of other attractions.
The hotel, however, is built on an old building, like many buildings in Chicago. There is no...

This is a really bad place to stay. I OBTAINED SCABIES FROM HI-CHICAGO HOSTEL. Scabies is when tiny bugs infest your body - causing your entire body to itch and break out in a rash. I got scabies due to the bed sheets that were not washed. Even worse, the staff there did not even act like it was ...

It's not a bad hotel to stay in, it's cheap, and it's close to a bunch of big touristy things - the museum, planatarium, the aquarium. We didn't spend much time in our room, but the bed was pretty good, and the room was nice and clean. The one drawback, and a huge selling point for me - the bathro...

The hotels I looked up online for Chicago downtown were all about $300-400 per night, very expensive. I booked most hotels using Expedia on this trip, but somehow by shopping around, I found the web site Venere.com, and they had the same hotel for only a little over 200 per night, so that's where ...

I stayed in the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza in May of 2008. The hotel was clean, comfortable and very typical of a Holiday Inn. However, it could use a bit of modernization as the lobby and rooms were a bit circa 1980s. The staff was acceptable but did not go out of their way and the concierge had a har...

Found a good deal for this hotel, and decided to stay here on a business trip. The hotel was a bit contradictory - very elegant, but definitely showing its age. Everything seemed a bit worn and musty, as if the glitter had faded off a few years ago.
Had some problems with the original room that w...
