English friendly Bar in the French Riviera May 17, 2011
If you find yourself in the Riviera and having a hard time communicating because you don't speak French, Wayne's Bar is the place for you. The whole staff speaks English, not sure if they even speak French actually and almost all of the patrons are english speakers. Happy hour is from 17:00-20:00, beers are 4,50 € a pint. It's packed on the weekends and everyone is usually hammered and dancing on the stools and tables. The place actually serves food...breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's bar food but it's reasonably priced in comparison to the rest of Old Nice but you're not going to Wayne's for the food. You go for the environment, whether to catch a game or check out the live band, to get hammered and to dance on tables. I was there four times in less than a week's span. It's a good time.

Wayne's Bar Jul 09, 2009
A lively, busy bar in Old Town, this bar, I’ve been told, is one of the most popular in Nice. Wood décor throughout, it’s the written rule, that when the live band starts, you get up and dance on the tabletops and benches. The live band, mainly playing classic rock and pop cover tunes, plays on a small stage in front of a loud, crazy, and mostly young crowd. We spent HOURS here, and had a fantastic time.

We had a smashing time here. I remember getting back to the hotel riding in a Grocery cart, good times!

you can't visit Nice without dropping into Wayne's Jul 14, 2008
There is a reason why there is a group on Facebook about this place. You can't go to Wayne's and NOT LOVE IT! The bar is on the contiki's must-do list so the place is always packed with laughing, crazy travellers (a good percentage of whom seem to be Aussie). They have live music every night and dancing on table is considered the norm. They close around 2am so it doesn't seem to get that rowdy (I should know, was dragged there 3 nights in a row). Don't worry there is a pub down the street that opens at 2am to save the hurt and confused party-goer. It is never quiet, never dull and never short of a pint of your favourite.

Go! Experience!
can't miss it!

A bar called Wayne's. Who'd have guessed it would be full of Aussies? ;-)

An Aussie Bar in France May 18, 2005
Wayne's Bar is located in Nice, France.

It is an Aussie Bar. We went here with our Contiki group in 2005.

The entire staff here are all Australian. The waitress who served us was very good, named Britney.

We arrive around 730pm as there was still happy hour for another hour till 830pm. Drinks were about 7 euros at happy hour. So almost a bargain, lol.

After that it was 10 euros or more for drink. However, by that time, we were quite blasted and did not care anymore of the costs.

This place was quite cool, even though it was a tourist bar. You are not allowed to dance on the floor. But for dancing you have to stand on the chairs and tables to dance.

So eventually we all were dancing on the tables and falling off the ceiling.

There was a big live band playing and it was quite good, as well some Do it yourself singing was available as well.

We were drinking some type of french brand of beer all night and some Long Islands. So It was a messy night in the end.

The music seemed quite well, but the washroom was up some stairs and in a tight corner. Not the best situation after a few drinks, as I almost fell down the stairs a few times.

Overall it can be a fun place to go and have a wild evening out. Recommended for all the party people out there. Enjoy!

So you had to be sober enough to stand on a chair to dance... yikes...

Contiki tours are great prices but this place was pretty expensive...
