Great view and great food competing for honours Jan 18, 2015
S54°48.268' W68°21.348' two kilometres on route to Glaciar Martial French chef Emmanuel Herbin found a place to show off his French interpretation of the local cuisine, such as Fuegian lamb and fruits de mer.

Chez Manu offers king crab with a gratin of Parmesan cheese on top as main course. The taste of king crab does not need this heavy support. We choose in January 2015 as entrée King Crab from the Ushuaia's bay without support. It was nice.

Our main fish duo (salmon and sea bass) from Atlantic sea with champagne sauce really surprised us. Delicate taste. Nice texture. Enjoyment of flavours. The Humberto Canale Estate Sauvignon Blanc wine from Patagonia was surprisingly good combination. No complaints about the pears cooked in wild blueberry juice and spices scented & ice cream as desert.

There was only one distraction from the food: during sun down the view from the restaurant over Ushuaia and the Beagle strait changed every two minutes. Amazing evening colours in the sky. Captivating all the time forgetting the excellent food from Chef Emmanuel. Recommended.
