Cheuvront Wine and Cheese Cafe Phoenix Reviews
May 10, 2007
Cheuvront is a fantastic wine and cheese cafe in downtown Phoenix; it was also recently recognized by Bon Appetite magazine as “One of the hottest 50 restaurants in the U.S.”.
Owned by Arizona State Senator Ken Cheuvront, this place was great from the minute it opened its doors; and has done nothing but get better and better. From interesting dishes such as ancho pork empanadas, poached pear salad with walnuts and blue cheese, lamb loin rolled around bacon, spinach and figs and pissaladière, and French tarts topped with likes of wild mushrooms and Gruyère, there's always something new to try - but my vote? Just go, get the outside seating, and have the knowledgeable servers guide you through picking a few different options for a cheese plate, sit back and relax. This gets my vote of my favorite cheese plate ever, especially if you make sure to mix it up; get a sheep’s milk cheese, a goat's milk cheese, and a cow's milk cheese; make sure you get one soft, one hard... it's amazing.
It goes without saying that their selection on wines is outstanding.
With it’s very urban, downtown feel, you’ll know you’re in the heart of the city with it’s glass, silver, and concrete look on the ground floor of the Artesian Lofts. It’s great to find a unique downtown restaurant, and you’ll love this place if you give it a try.
