Chetumal Vacation Guide
Chetumal is a fairly good sized town of a little over 130,000 people near the very furthest SE point of Mexico. I discovered it is actually the capital of Quintana Roo, the state on the eastern portion of the Yucatan. It is situated on Chetumal Bay near the mouth of the Rio Hondo river which forms the border between Mexico and Belize.
The city appears to be growing and has a small international airport. There is a free trade zone just across the Rio Hondo on the Belize side.

Once we reached Chetumal we were finally able to have some breakfast, or brunch. We went to the same place where Robbel and I had had breakfast two days earlier.

End of May 2007, flew to Cancun, stayed in Playa del Carmen and drove all over the Yucutan checking out ruins. Of course I hung out at the beach too!
