From Llanfair….. we drive along the North Wales coat to Chester.
The bus drops us off outside the wall of this medieval city and we stroll through the gates and into town. We made our way around the large church and through some of the narrow streets of this 2,000 …

Thankfully my Frommers guide gave me more information on this place and what I can expect. I liked what I read. That…

Chester is a beautiful little city with lots of tudor style buildings,
it's not overrun by modern buildings - all the shops just make use of
the space available. We managed to find a internet cafe and booked our
next few days - Loch Lomond in Scotland and then to Ambleside in Lakes
Distri…

Today we are leaving by ferry and headed for Chester, England. We have another late start because the ferry doesn't leave until 10:30.
This ferry ride is not at all like our previous crossing. This was a catamaran hulled, jet powered ship. We only waited few minutes and were par…

Final Trip of year 13 around England and Wales.
Great trip with Ferry from Rotterdam to Hull, with a stay at the adelphy a gig at the cavern and lifemusic at a great Irish pub.
We also did the Ferry across the Mursey and after it we visited Chester and Conwy Castle on the way to Llanberris in the Snowdonia National Parc. We climed Mount Snowdan and on our way back to Hull we visited York and saw one of the best art exibitions I ever saw: the memory of place in St. Mary's Abbey.

This morning we started with a tour of the city of Chester. A couple of Roman soldiers gave us our tour. We saw stone walls that dated back to 200 AD. The Roman tour guides explained about bath houses and gladiators. I thought it was interesting to learn that the gladiators trained at the same plac…
