Tibet is truly heavenly ... the mix of its religious history / architecture, and its landscape. We were awestruck by the majesty of the Potala Palace from our…

All I really wanted was a picture holding a Panda cub. I was going to be in China on my own for two weeks, no guides, no agenda, just a desire to go deep into China. Sure I wanted a picture at the Great Wall and the Forbiden City but I really wanted a picture with Panda.
I spent a few …

The alarm was set for 7am, and that's when it went off. I managed to get up about 15 minutes later, stumbled my way around the room- even with 20/15 vision. Yup, not quite awake yet. But I got out by 8, stopped at Starbucks (I know, but I stayed away from the milk), had a tea and …

I recently took a 15 day ritz tour to China where we jumped from city to city seeing pretty much everything we could. We also enjoyed the local cuisine! As difficult as our schedule was we saw some pretty amazing sights. From what I have read, alot of these places were rocked by that massive earthquake.

The main reason we came to Chengdu was
for the pandas. The majority of wild pandas are in the Sichuan
region, and there are 2 panda bases nearby. The one at Wolong was
largely destroyed in the recent earthquake, and some of the pandas
who survived are being looked after and receiving 'cuddle th…

This was the most significant trip of my life to date, as it was the trip that sparked my obsession with traveling. I have been consumed by the desire to travel ever since and it has now become a lifestyle. On this trip I worked in various Traditional Chinese Medicine hospitals throughout China to further my education, while doing some sightseeing in between. There are only pictures included, as this trip was too long ago for me to make any insightful comments.

Wow its been about a week since I last updated my blog, been in transit a lot and been caught in places with crappy internet. My last entry had me sitting on the top of a bunk of a hard sleeper 17 hour train ride to Chengdu. Let me say 17-hour on a f-cking train is a long time and I hop…

So, our last week in China was a little bit of a let down travel
wise, but still entertaining nonetheless. 2 nights in our guest house
provided the entertainment of killing giant cockroaches in our
bathroom. Tanisha and I are pretty fierce, hiding on top of a stool,
building up the courag…
