Cheltenham Overview

Cheltenham is a spa town located within the borough of Gloucestershire in England. It is situated on the very edge of The Cotswolds and has an air of wealth and respectability! It certainly is an impressive regency town with lovely architecture.

The Cotswolds is a range of hills in west-central England, sometimes called the "Heart of England", with Cheltenham being located approx two and half miles away providing an ideal base to explore the surrounding area.

Cheltenham is the home of the flagship race of British steeplechase horse racing the Gold Cup, being the main event of the Cheltenham Festival held every March.

The festival lasts for four days, and attracts huge numbers of horse racing enthusiasts. Accommodation is booked up for the festival long in advance, many book their stay a year in advance.
