In a climate of pagan cultures! Jan 24, 2016
Chelmska Mountain is not really a mountain! This shaft moraine - a remnant of the glaciation in these areas. However, due to the high relative altitude - majestically dominates the Pobrzeże Koszalin. The highest peak of Chelmska Mountain is Krzyzanka (136.2 meters ASL). In the past Chelmska Mountain was a very important place of cult of people of the Lusatian culture and later Pomeranian. Since antiquity - until the Middle Ages was a place of pagan funeral rites. Then - until now - it has become a place of Christian worship.

Currently it is primarily a place attractive to tourists - with numerous trails (both short trips and long hours of escapades), rope park, playgrounds, trails for mountain bikers. At the top there is a great observation tower, which offers a magnificent view of the lake Jamno, the Baltic Sea and the extensive countryside. In addition, at the top there is a Marian shrine.
