Wow - this really is one of the most exciting places in the world. Boasting a cathedral, an ice-skating rink, a museum and even a 24hour Tesco, Chelmsford, Essex provides an ideal location for anyone! A mere, 20 minute bus ride and 40 minutes from Liverpool Street station its dead handy and can accomodate all your holiday needs. I heartily recommend it. The birthplace of the radio, accomodation is cheap with all modcons excluding a tv, radio, clock and rooms provide a delightfully quaint single bed with hospital blanket covers. Nightlife is limited to Dukes and a quiet haunt called the angel which are both well well worth the visit. Locals are charming with an intriguing dialect that is very refreshing in these modern times. Fun for all.
