Cheaper transport from O'Haire to Downtown
Cheaper transport from O'Haire to Downtown Chicago Reviews
Chicago Transport Authority Trains and Buses Aug 10, 2011
Cheaper and fastest way to reach downtown of Chicago is Chicago Transport Authority Trains and Buses, CTA and PACE.
Many hotels in O'Hare area provides complimentary shuttle service to O'Hare airport. If they don't provide, we can take PACE bus from the hotel to airport too.
Once reached the parking lot or one of the terminals of O'Hare airport, we have to go to terminal 2 to get on to blue line station. Blue Line CTA trains operate between O'Hare airport and Forest Park one of the suburbs through downtown loop. We can reach almost all attractions from Washington station in downtown loop.
Before entering the station we have to buy the CTA card through a vending machine and load some cash into it. Each ride costs 2.25USD. Same card can be used on CTA and PACE buses too. Each bus ride costs 2USD. If you access a bus or train within 2 hours from the first use of card considers transfer and costs only 25 cents as fee. 3day, 7 day and monthly passes are also available for cheaper prices. Some of the stations and buses are Wheelshair Accessible. Also we can carry our bucycles in CTA buses.
CTA also operates in other suburbs too. Lines coded with colors. Detailed maps are displayed on top of doors of the trains. All pictures are attached herewith for better visual understanding.
