FREE Transport within Downtown Baltimore Jan 16, 2010
I was just in Baltimore for my brother's Bachelor Party. We stayed at a hotel in Camden Yards, just west of downtown. Not too bad of a walk to places, unless you are drunk or have issues walking, which was the case with some people in our party. I had heard about a free bus that just started running around downtown Baltimore called the Charm City Circulator. What a find! The bus was very clean and modern, and indeed was free! Apparently it is paid for by the city's parking fees. Anyway, we used it to get to the Inner Harbor where we had crabcakes and drinks and then from there to Fells Point, where the real action is. The drivers were very courteous and informative. It really beats paying for a cab. They run frequently and are free (did I mention they are free?) VERY convenient. Maybe this will catch on in other cities. Way to go Baltimore!
