Charleston Place Reviews

Jun 10, 2006
When you visit downtown Charleston you should take a stroll through the Charleston Place. It is conveniently located on King Street, Market Street and Meeting Street.

This upscale hotel has its very own shopping center. There are close to 30 shops here. Some of which are Gucci, United Colors of Benetton and White House/Black Market. You can also get a shoe shine from a man stationed at the entrance of the restrooms.

They even have a Godiva. Give yourself a treat. I bought a few chocolate dipped strawberries and walked across the hall to the Charleston Grill. They have a little bar with sofas to add a relaxed atmosphere but still a classy setting. The bartender was very nice. It was nice to just sit at a bar without the smoke and noise that is usually an accompaniment. Along with my strawberries, I had a glass of Pierre Moncuit Brut Champagne.

This shopping center is a nice change from the usual tourist crowd. It is definitely one to check out.
