We do it all very calmly today. We need to stay out of the sun, because we got burnt yesterday. Eef wears light long trousers; Timo goes outside in his shorts and T-shirt. We get up around 08:30, go for breakfast and start the day the same way as ye…hotel room and Eef tries to get some money. Then we go to eat right next door at Soultanas. It tastes really good: a mixture of Greek specialties, moussakas, beans in tomato sauce, stuffed eggplants, stuffed peppers and meatballs. We have two small bottles of retsina… Archeological museum |

This day we were planning to go to Chania. People said it is a very beautiful place, so we wanted this to see ourselves. And it is true, Chania is beautiful. In the morning we took the bus again to Heraklion, and there we had to take the bus …hotel room. In the morning having a nice breakfast, we wanted to see some more of Chania. But first I had to have a latte macchiato to fulfill my coffee addiction. I therefore visited Starbucks. At about 10.00 hour we took the bus to Heraklion… On our way to the beautiful Chania |

In febr/March 2006 i (Dennis) spent 4 weeks on the island of Crete for work. As my work as a 'military' police officer we supported the dutch Airfprce on there exercise on the greek island. Ofcourse i wont go into detail about that. Our ma…hotel a few kilometers form Chania Downtown in a town called Porto Platanias. We got our room in a really nice 5 star hotel. In wich we stayed for 4 weeks (very annoying!!)hahaha. Next day we went to a greek base nearby and got a room… Payed 'holiday' |
