Chancellor Hotel San Francisco

Very pleasant hotel, well priced with a convenient Union Square location.

I had stayed at this hotel at least 3 times in the last few years and the most recent stay was just October 2008.

It had been remodeled and looked new inside. The bed is very comfortable, and they gave a selection of something like 10 different kinds of pillows to choose from (for free), I tried the Magnetic Therapy and Buckwheat, just to see what they are like. They have free wi-fi in the rooms, always a feature I look for in hotels. The bathroom is very clean, and I was impressed with how white and clean the tiles and grouts are. The garage for the hotel is half a block away, easy to get to, and they valet park the cars. I got a deal where the parking fee was included in the room rate.

The location is terrific! it's right at Union Square, across from the San Francisco Drake Hotel, and also half a block away from the Westin St Francis, both costing a lot more I am sure! The only downside I found was the street noise at night!
