Great service & a great little Chalet Apr 26, 2012
7 of us stayed in the Chalet Sylvie while we were in Val D'Isere skiing & what a great experience we had.

It was the first time we had stayed in a catered chalet & it did not disappoint. Charlie the skiworld rep for the chalet was brilliant bright & chirpy she cooked us breakfast every morning, made cakes & biscuits ready for when we came home from the slopes & cooked us an excellent 3 course meal every night, great food. This was along with as free red or white wine :-)

The chalet itself was small but nice & cozy & sufficient for what we required, a day on the slopes then back to the chalet to chill out, play games & then for the nightlife. It slept 9/10 people with underfloor heating etc so always nice & toasty. There was a log fire that could be lit but the chalet was always warm anyway. It was a short walk from the slopes, a short walk into town for the shops & bars & there was a ski bus stop right opposite so a perfect location all round

Obviously the chalet rep will change each year so the ones in futures years may not be as good, but all I can do is comment on the one we had who was excellent, really nice person & great cook.

A great cozy chalet

The resort itself is also great - if you get the 'Espace Killy' ski pass there are plenty of slopes of all grades Green - Black to keep you going all week with different slopes everyday.

At 3pm every day at bar called 'La Folie Douce' on the slopes there's a bit rave / music blasting out for a boogie & a beer before heading home 7 Euro's a beer, if you don't fancy paying that or the 4500Euro's for a bottle of champagne you can just sit & soak up the atmosphere & the live band / singers.

In the resort there are plenty of shop's all quite expensive as per normal for a ski resort & there's also quite a lively nightlife with many bars & a few clubs, so there's something for everyone even a swiming pool if your feeling energetic after a day on the slopes
