Chadstone Shopping Centre Melbourne Reviews
Amazing Shopping Centre Jun 18, 2011
The biggest shopping centre in the southern hemisphere! - And it never lets me down on my visits to Melbourne. There are 2 levels spread out over such an enormous area that it is very easy to get lost in this place!
They have everything here, from all the major department stores like Myer, David Jones and Kmart to international and high-end fashion labels Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co and Gucci, to your regular women's fashion brands such as Dotti, Sportsgirl, Bardot etc.
There are 2 food courts also with a heap to choose from, and one of the best things from a tourist perspective is that you can get there for free via the Chadstone Shuttle. This runs Wednesday-Sunday (I think this may be every day in Summer) at 10am and returning at 3pm from the intersection of Russell St and Flinders St, just near Federation Square. If you require more time than this, there is a bus bay at the centre, with buses that will take you to the closest train station so you can get the train back to the city.
Definitely worth spending a day here!

Chadstone + Christmas = Nightmare Mar 11, 2008
Avoid this shopping centre at all costs during the christmas period!! It is soo busy and it will take you forever to get a car park. Having said that, shopping at 4am on the days leading up to christmas is a unique experience!!

Need a dress?
Need an expensive dress?
Need a cheap dress?
Need a mid-range dress?
Don't need a dress?
Chadstone is your place. Nestled in the tram-void, train-void reaches of Melbourne's suburbia is a shopping oasis: Chadstone Shopping Centre.
It has everything you would ever dream of needing: High-end fashion outlets, low-end fashion outlets, mid-range options, discount chains, electronic super-stores, supermarkets, bookshops, stores selling bedsheets, stores selling pewter, stores selling jewellery, and mega departmental stores; namely the two most reknown chains in Australia, the Myer and David Jones empires.
Basically, if you're looking for a store and it isn't here - it isn't worth shopping in.
A combination of the sky lights and the building's immensity make shopping here a pleasant experience. You can get wonderously lost in the depths of Chadstone Shopping Centre, and even the strict anti-shoppers of you all will enjoy a stroll in the well-lit halls of Chadstone.
It is an impressive complex that isn't dubbed the Fashion Capital for nothing. Forget the city, Chadstone has it all.
