Ceylan Intercontinental Hotel Istanbul

The Ceylan Intercontinental Hotel as Taksim Square was our home away from home in Istanbul, we stayed there 3 times for a total of 5 nights. We had rooms on the 9th floor, with view of the Bosphorus and Istanbul. The hotel rooftop restaurant had terrific view. The rooms were very nice, comfortable. and amenities in the bathrooms were all as expected in a 5 star hotel. The food in the restaurant was good too, breakfast buffet had great selection and variety of tastes to suit everyone. But I won't recommend eating at the restaurant here just for the food, because it is way more expensive than elsewhere! We enjoyed a dinner at the rooftop restaurant with wonderful view of the city and Bosphorus below, for about $100 per person! Internet access was not free in the room and we ended up not using it. The location of the hotel was good too, very convenient, less than 5 minute walk to Taksimi Square, and then you can walk down the Istiklal Caddesi pedestrian street.

In short, a classy hotel with great location, amenities and view, but expensive restaurants. You have to pay for parking and internet access too.
