We’ve been staying in the Castle View Apartments in Cesky Krumlov and it’s been the perfect place to relax after the cruise (yeah, I know. . . .it’s a tough life but I really did need to live at my own pace and not that of a group). Our apartment is furnished with everything …

I really love the Czech Republic. On every level. Probably one of my favourite countries in Europe. Last year I was in Crusty Bumfluff (Cesky Krumlov) with my cousins. What a great little town. Wicked food, great beer, beautiful scenery, gorgeous people and all for a penny. What else can you want? Exactly a year later I was back with my mate Shane. We also got to Ceske Budjovice this time...

People i met here who contributed to, and improved my trip:
I'd heard so many great things about Cesky Krumlov from my last trip in Europe and i really wasnt disappointed. Set on the banks of the Vlatava, this small hamlet is like something from a fairytale. The only frustrating aspect of my visi…

I remember taking a picture of my feet back in Inis Moor, Ireland. Well, after a month and a half abroad, my nail polish is chipping, I'm sporting a good blister and I have the worst Chaco tan lines. Time for a pedicure!

One day we went to Cesky Krumlov, a tiny miniature town on the south border. It had a beautiful castle, and all medieval buildings were very well preserved. Actually the town is a part of UNESCO heritage. Maybe it looked too artificial, like a toy town with no residents but it was surely worth seei…

We left Prague at 8 in the morning. Got to Cesky Krumlov for 11.30. It was a pretty short journey, i think i slept through all of it. For the first time though the bus didn't stop right outside the hostel, only because the hostel was on the top of a very steep hill. I think you can imagine whats co…

After spending a couple hours on the internet trying to figure out the whole Croatian boat tour thing, Becky and I wandered around the town and took lots of pictures of all the cuteness!
After supper (at this sweet, very meaty style restaurant) we hiked up to the top of the hill overlook…

It was a fair 3 hour's travelling to Cesky Krumlov after a change at nearby Budejovice, somewhere I had visited before a couple of times on a Czech exchange trip at school back when I was 13.

We had a fantastic time in this beautiful little medieval town which honestly doesn't look real at all. The centre of town is located on a loop in the Vltava river and it's cobbled streets and ancient buildings give it a fairytale appearance. We were sharing the town with plenty of other touri…

We are doing the brewery tour at 11 this morning and then catching a
train to Budejovice later so we packed up our gear, locked it up and
left it in the room and headed out to the brewery. It's an old brewery
that's been upgraded over time as new owners have taken control.
Unfortuna…
