Cerveteri Overview

Cerveteri, located about an hour south of Rome, is the ancient ruins of an Etruscan necropolis. It is many hundreds, even thousands, of years old. It is also a UNESCO site.

Cerveteri is accessible by bus (from Rome or Cittavechia.) The necropolis can be reached by local bus from outside the old town or taxi from the Cerveteri/Ladispoli train station.

There is also a museum in downtown Ladispoli that showcases some of the artifacts found in the necropolis itself.
