Centrepoint Hotel Bandar Seri Begawan

Location! Location! Location! Yup, this is what this place is all about. For an old hotel (one of the oldest in Brunei), this hotel got its reputation for being the first hotel erected in Gadong. Gadong, if you haven't been to Brunei, is where the soul of Brunei located. This is basically where the "happenings" in Brunei take place. Now when I said happenings I'm using the term loosely as you might see this place as boring with the absence of pubs and nightclubs (plus booze) in the country. However, this is not what I wanna write about. The Centre point is, as the name suggests is located right in the centre of where these happenings are.

The room is spacious with comfortable bed and all the necessities that you can find in any luxury hotel such as tv, minibar, wardrobe, and bathroom. Complimentary toiletries are also available for the guests so you dont have to worry if you forgot to bring your toothbrush with you. My only complain about this place is that this is place is visibly aging, with the colour of the curtain starting to fade and the beddings is a bit dusty (I slept on it once and caught a cold due to reaction on dusts). And since Gadong can be quite busy even during late night, it can get noisy too so perhaps you should request for a room on the high floor.

Apart from that, the place has got everything, even when you walk outside, you will find yourself surrounded with shops, cafes and restaurants. Downstair you can find Coffeebean, Jollibee (yes fellow pinoys we love your Jollibee lol), an Italian restaurant called Fratini and a mobilephone shop called QQ station.

So if you are travelling on a considerable budget, and you dont mind spending a bit extra for convenience, i highly recommend this place.
