Central cottage Central Cottage, a cosy place at Koh Phangan.

There are two Tong Nai Pan Beaches on Phangan Island.The first one is Tong Nai Pan Yai, the second is Tong Nai Pan Noi.

Yai means Big
Noi means Small

The different is Tong Nai Pan Yai is more quiet than Tong Nai Pan Noi and there is no big party like Full Moon Party there. So it is a place for people who look for a place to relax - because the only thing that you can concentrate on this beach is just the sea.

There are many resorts or guesthouses along this beach. My favorite one is Central Cottage Resort. It's in the middle of Tong Nai Pan Yai Beach. My first time to Phangan Island was in 2005. Central Cottage at that time had only the huts and some houses. I went there alone so I chose to stay in the hut.It's only 450THB per night and I stayed more than one week so they discounted to 350TH (10$) which was good. (but the last time I went there in low season was only just 300THB per night!)

A friendly staff, good service and nice room make me back again for 7th time now.

A hut has one king size bed with bathroom, fan and balcony where you can hang a hammock. I always do.

The other room types are big huts and houses with air-con, mini bar and TV from 1000-3500THB. The price is depends on the season. You can check it on their website.

A restaurant is also good. Big area in indoor or outdoor. Food is yummy (if they don't change the chef yet) and they have Seafood BBQ after 7pm every night. I saw many people from the other resorts came to eat here.
A bar is great but sometimes the music isn't that good haha but we can tell them. It's open around 4pm until you go back to bed and sometimes the bartender go back before you :)
