Central Backpackers Dunedin
Central Backpackers Dunedin Reviews
Mediocre May 15, 2008
Not the best hostel I've ever stayed at.
Given an indifferent welcome on arrival, office staff seemed too concerned with tapping away at keyboard. The rooms don't have any numbers on them, so kept waking up to people trying to get into my room, thankfully my door had a lock on it. The showers and toilets were poorly looked after, nowhere to dry hands either, or if there was - it was with a soaking wet towel. There was no heater/radiator in my room, so I woke up in the morning to steaming breath. This place must be more like a freezer during the winter. On the plus side - it is in quite a good location; it has a friendly cat; the door security is good. Part of the Fiji, New Zealand and Australia travel blog
