Always a travel guide book and a fiction book of some sort. I like thrillers and mystery stories. I also like Bill Bryson.

Music you might find me listening to while waiting for my plane

All sorts, I like Lady Gaga, Dido, 80s stuff especially Depeche Mode, Sisters of Mercy, The Cult and Latin American music.

Most Memorable Travel Experience

I have lots, but the ones that stick in my mind are being able to visit Lithuania (the country of my ancestors), swimming with dolphins in Cuba, flying over Greenland and seeing the Northern Lights, the Midnight Sun in Norway, the volcanic mudbath of the Aeolian Island of Vulcano and the Orkney Islands in Scotland, my favourite place on earth!

ABOUT ME: I am Scottish (with Lithuanian heritage on my mother's side & Irish on my father's side) & although I have travelled a lot, Scotland still remains one of my favourite countries. I especially love the Highlands & Islands.

I studied languages at university and have mostly worked in international companies which has enabled me to learn more languages over the past few years. I currently work in international finance where pretty much any language is useful, but I could do with learning some Chinese or Japanese for my job but never seem to have enough free time!
