Panama Canal Cruise Jun 27, 2011
Celebrity Cruises
When travelling onboard their ship infinity doing a cruise through the Panama Canal I had a great time. At the time this was the only company to take you through the Canal and not just go in one end turn around then go back out. Do note this ship is Panama max ship. From the many cruises I have been on I toughly enjoyed this one. The food was top notch 5 out of 5 for the food. The crew onboard are great too, they are very helpful and if you get to know the ones who most people put their nose up at e.g. the cleaners they will tell you the best places to be onboard to get the best view at certain times of the day. Also going onshore do not forget they have been here before. They may not have been of the ship each time but they do get off and they know where to go. The ship itself was well maintained and always clean. They crew will do their best to give you information on off shore excursions and most of the travel advisors have been onshore themselves. I remember one river rafting trip two of them had come along with us. It was really neat to have them there. Overall Although the price is up there it is a great cruise

Affordable, relaxing and ejoyable Sep 16, 2005
Well I wasn't too sure where to put this review as it is accommodation but mixes sights and attractions. Great accomodation though :)
We boarded the "Summit" in Vancouver and left on our 14 night cruise. We were going to take one of the 7 or 10 night cruises but then found out that this ship was doing a relocation cruise. That meant that as it was the last Alaskan cruise for the season, instead of leaving and returning to Vancouver, it left Vancouver and ended in LA! Although we disembarked in LA, the Summit started it's next season of cruising from LA to the Mexican riviera. Some people were staying on to do that one too!. We found the staff great. There was lots of entertainment on board and too much food. Of course there is also a booking desk on board so that on shore tours can be arranged if wanted. The staff there was helpful. Athough we would have liked to spend more time in some places, that is what it is all about. We saw a bit of a number of places which was enough to wet our appetite enough to want to return one day and explore. If we hadn't gone on that cruise we would not have seen some of the sights that we did. We both had our birthdays while on the ship and we had a birthday cake and had Happy Birthday sung to us by the wait staff. On that cruise we made friends with staff who treated us like family. A great time was had by all! Part of the North to Alaska ~ My 50th Birthday trip 2005 travel blog
