Cebu City Vacation Guide
As a foreigner Cebu is one of the most relaxed places in the Philippines to be in. Somehow they relate more relaxed to tourists then in most other parts of the country. They are not scared to communicate with white people as many people are in very provincial areas of the country and they are not as money hunting as most people are in Manila.
Also, besides the pirates at the arport which you just ignore I've never had an arguement with a taxi driver in Cebu regarding wheater he cares to go to that specific area that you ask to be taken, nor if he should go on meter or fixed price, or had problems with drivers who were short of change - as is most common in Manila.
At the same time Cebu is very beautyfull and tranquill inspite of still being somewhat of a big city, and acctually one of the cities in the country that is developing the most in theese times in regards to industry.
Equiped with a modern international airport in Mactan and port of the Super Ferry which connects the southern islands - Cebu is also the perfect base for traveling around the Visayas.
