Cazador - Ames - TravBuddy

Compared to other Mexican restaurants that I have been to, the Cazador does not have as much of an atmosphere. They tried to create some kind of atmosphere with the hats, throws, and paintings they put on the walls, but somehow it did not quite work. It would have been nicer to have a table with chairs instead of booths; those always remind me of diners, not Mexican restaurants. The food was not bad but it was not that great either, somewhere in the middle. I had the fajitas and the portion was huge, I had a sizzling pan with meat and onions as well as a plate with rice and beans and the tortillas. I could not eat all of it and took the rest to go. My friend told me that it was the best Mexican food he found in the area.
