Caz Bar Dili Reviews
Great place to eat Sep 12, 2010
Caz bar is located across the road from the Areia Branca beach. It offers both indoor dining and outdoor dining at the beach where they have a few tables and plastic chairs. The indoor dining is under a straw roof with a fence around it, which makes it nice an airy. Service was excellent and quick. Waiters are running back and forth across the road between the restaurant and the beach. The staff also speak English. When it wasn´t too busy the staff had time for a chat. I also met the owner, a guy named Louis. He was fluent in English and very service minded.
Caz Bar specializes in BBQ dishes. They have an extensive menu and they actually have everything on the menu, something which is very uncommon in Dili restaurants.
Caz Bar offers breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. For breakfast you can choose between toast, eggs, omelets, french toast and 16 different pancakes. All this for $1,25 - $5.50. Or you can have chips, salads, nachos, hot dogs, pasta, pizza, hot & cold sandwiches, chicken, beef pork, lamb and sea food ($2,50 - $14,50).
If you only want refreshments they offer all kinds of soft drinks, fresh fruit juices, smoothies & shakes as well as coffee and tea. What about a chilled coconut at the beach. And of course beer and strong liquor.
Caz Bar is a great place to eat and a fun place to hang out at night. They have a pool table which was busy most of the time. You can also rent sea kayaks there. The sunset is absolutely beautiful from their beach tables. You should try it! I have found my favorite place in Dili and can highly recommend it. I look forward to eat here again.
