This hotel has history: it was originally a 17th century nobleman's mansion. Situated just off La Spianada, the sweet, relatively small establishment boasts incredible ocean views and a wonderful roof deck restaurant. Elevator. Clean, comfortable. Definitely recommended.

On our last day I wanted to have breakfast on the roof top terrace of the Cavalieri Hotel. It is located off the Spianada. When we get there and arrive at the 6th floor we realise that the roof top doesn't start serving until 6.30pm in the evening. Nevertheless we enjoy the views from the top of the roof… The last day

Changed hotels from Astron to Cavalieri (more stars, for whatever that's worth) as the former smelled bad. Sorry. I try so hard not to be perceived as an Ugly American that I sometimes forget to have fun. Hey, look at my shoes, people! Not ugly… Corfu Redux
