Cava Antigua, Licor
Cava Antigua, Licor Sarasota Reviews
From Agave - But Not Tequila! Apr 27, 2007
Cava Antigua is a "coffee" based liquor which also is made with the use of agave - the same that is used to make tequila. However, this and tequila shouldn't be confused with each other, as this is definitely a sweet, dessert liquor.
I had it in Sarasota, Florida, though I’m not sure if it is available for purchase within the States. The couple at whose house I was eating dinner had just returned from a trip to Mexico, and brought it with them. We drank it straight up (I don’t know if you’d say “neat” when referring to a dessert liquor??) but it could certainly be used as a mixer.
If you ever run across it, give it a try.
