Cattail Cove State Park Lake Havasu Reviews
Camping grounds at Cattail Cove Jun 13, 2010
For the camping fan, the Northwestern part of Arizona offeres a camping wonderland. A combination of water, highlands, highways, dams and condusive environment to enjoy the hot Arizona summers. We made a brief stop at Cattail Cove on our way back from Lake Havasu where we camped for a night by the Lake. The camp ground we stayed at charged us a reasonable sum of $35 for a great spot right by the Lake, with water hook up and access to inside toilet and wash rooms.
We found that cattail cove was even more affordable. Located on the banks of the Colorado river against the shadows of huge boulders and in a well kept State Park, it was a spot for many California holiday makers and Arizona residents who came to enjoy some water sport and camp. I definitely recommend it for those on a budget or otherwise. water ski equipment available for rent.
The negative part of all this is the crown, it is extremely crowded and May is quite hot in Arizona. While the water temporarly comforts you from the day's heat, the night would be torture in a ten with temperatures above 80 degrees.
