The Cathedral of Puno...! Dec 03, 2013
On the western flank of the Plaza de Armas, Puno's baroque cathedral was completed in 1757. While its facade is well-sculptured, the interior is surprisingly spartan apart from the silver-plated altar that, following a 1964 visit by Pope Paul VI, had a Vatican flag placed to its right.

There is no entry fee, and comparedf to a lot of other cathedrals I saw (and I would be seeing) in this country, I did find this somewhat austere from the inside. It also isn't a very big cathedral so you could probably finish it off in less than an hour.
