Classic Play + New Cast = Total Enjoyment Apr 07, 2008
I saw the new production of Tennesse Williams's classic Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, cast for the first time with an African-American cast. It was stellar, to say the least. Anika Noni Rose shines as the frustrated wife of football hero Brick played by Terrance Howard. James Earl Jones and Phylicia Rashad give wonderful performances as the heads of this rather tragic household. Seeing such talented actors live on stage was indescribable. I would recommend it for anyone visiting NYC this spring.
