Castle Rock is located in western Gove County, south of Quinter about 14 miles. This amazing natural compilation of rock outcroppings is beautiful! They rise out of the plateau like a fortress. It does take a little time to find and you will feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere...oh wait, you are! The view from the rocks is also quite stunning. You can see east for miles!

Because of erosion and traffic the rocks are slowly crumbling away. They do not look like they did 10 years ago. Still, the detour is worthwhile. The only cost is paying for the gas to get out there.

One rock does resemble a castle but the others take on different formations. I'll leave it for you to figure out what they look like!

Great review! I toured the area many years ago; I'll have to visit the place on my next drive to Colorado :-D
