Castello San Giusto Trieste Reviews
Great views of Trieste Oct 21, 2010
Constructed around the fifteenth century, the Castello di San Giusto is an impressive building which houses a wonderful collection of artefacts that relate to Trieste.
I thought the collections were very detailed. They have quite a few historical documents which are in Italian obviously, but with no summaries or brief explanations in English. The collection of armour and weaponry is small but very impressive. I really like the views from the top of the castle; on a fine day, the water and surrounding area look amazing. In the central courtyard, you can access an exhibition which houses old sculpture and mosaics.
Admission fee was several euros. An audio guide is available in several languages for hire, and I recommend it if you want to pick up extra details and information, as the information posted throughout the site is 99% Italian.
