Castel Gandlfo Lake... 30 mins from Roma Aug 25, 2011
Castel Gandolfo is a beautiful little village nearby Rome, indeed it takes only 35 minutes by regional train from Roma termini to this lovely place. The village itself is very famous to be the POPE summer residence and with those tiny streets that tourist seems to like :-) from the village there is a beautiful view over the LAKE, lake which has a volcaninc origin, as you can see also from the shape and from the BLACK sand on the shore!

Bath in the lake is nice and relaxing, water is clean and clear, suggested is also to take a walk around the all lake, it's 10 KM and walking in 1h30 mins will do the job :-)

jogging there is amazing and in summer time is wonderful to swim and relax on the beach!

train ticket from Roma cost 1,90 euro!

have fun
