Hipsters haven Aug 10, 2011
I'm not a fan of Cassette. At all. The music they play there is kinda indie type... not the popular music anyway. And they serve drinks in teapots which sounds like a nice idea until you try to drink from them. Not to mention the bartender (when I was there) had no idea what he was doing. Thankfully I wasn't the one paying for the drink because it wasn't what I ordered! The one good thing is the bathroom, it's full of cat pictures. All over the roof.

Cassette, as oldskool as new zealand Apr 11, 2011
Cassette is one of those typical places in new zealand, not bad, not good, nothing special, but you have an amazing time there anyway. Hanging around with new zealanders who in all honestly live their life day by day, no worries, all very chilled, you take on an almost trance like state of mind and end up believing all there is to life is enjoying the moment, whether it be in cassette or sitting on a beach with a beer.

Anyway, Cassette is quite cool, dont go more than twice, it will get seriously boring. nethertheless, new zealand, what a place, what a way of life.

The coolest place to party in central Auckland Mar 06, 2011
I happened to end up in Cassettte bar here after a bar crawl of cheap not so great bars so Cassette impressed immediately. Great service, good dj's so the party was ON till very late even on a Thursday night. Everyone's dancing and chatting along so overrall a very agreeable experience in the heart of Auckland cbd.

Cassette was a great end to a cheap, fun bar crawl! Visit if you cant be bothered to venture to the Viaduct or Ponsonby bars..
