We usually stay in a hotel in central Dublin but it was the Ryder Cup weekend and everywhere was fully booked.  We were meeting a group of friends from around the globe and there was no choice of going on another weekend!

So l booked a B&B via the Irish Tourist boards website and it turned out to be great!  Obviously not 5 star luxury but it was good - central enough a 20 minute bus journey from Whitehall area into central dublin and a bus stop outside the front door.  There was off road parking for our car.

It was a great B&B our host was lovely and friendly, and VERY helpful with bus timetables and advise - as we are well used to staying in Dublin we didnt need much assistance but for out of town travellers its essential.

The house was well kept, clean a decent sized room, ensuite with a fabulous shower really powerful! A huge Irish breakfast to set you up in the morning.  I didnt bring a hairdryer and that was not a problem one was brought to me when requested.  It cost us 90euro for our room for 2 people and cards are  usually accepted (the machine was down during our stay but we were informed of this so it wasnt a problem).

All in all l would recommend this B&B to anyone without hesitation.
