Casa museo del Podestà. Jun 03, 2017
This beautiful mansion was built in 1400. It was owned by Venice (the Serenissima republic) for some centuries. Lonato del Garda was ruled by Venice for more than 350 years. This building was the governor' s dwelling. Later, this house was given to Austria by Napoleon. Then it became property of Lonato del Garda. In 1906 it was bought by Ugo da Como. He was a member of the Ialian parliament.

Ugo da Como restored this villa and filled it with old furniture bought from wealthy people.

Inside this house you can visit around twenty rooms and enjoy lots of paintings, frescoes and pictures. There is also a library with more than 50,000 ancient books,

You can visit this mansion only with a guided tour.
