Casa del Aljarife
Casa del Aljarife Reviews
Dec 11, 2006Casa del Aljarife is a wonderful, big traditional house in the heart of Granada old town (el Albaicin). The house is a Bed&Breakfast with 3 or 4 rooms. We were lucky enough to get the one on the top (#4), with great views to Alhambra. Our room was very nice and roomy, and tastefully decorated in a good balance with the house traditional architecture. But the thing we will always remember is the three nights there: the deep, almost sacred silence (cars are not allowed in Albaicin) and the wonderful breeze getting into our room. Wow, what a wonderful place! Only drawbacks: the manager is a guy who (to me) was very dry, to the edge of being rude. Fortunately, we did not have to deal with him too much. Also, you can not access the house by car, so you want to keep that in mind if you are travelling with a lot of luggage. But apart from that, Albaicin is safe by night and this house is a great place for travellers looking for something very special! |
