Casa da Matriz is probably the indiest club in Rio de Janeiro. Every night there's a different kind of party going on, and some of the best DJs in Rio. I do occasionally play some tunes over there, but I'm not just selling my own fish...

On mondays you have Maldita, the indiest party in Rio de Janeiro. On fridays, Brazooka brings the best in dancefloor brazilian music, and saturdays, Paradiso is top of the pops - and rocks, hip-hops, etc. There are also electronic nights, with Drum 'n' Bass DJs, some electro, psy, and stuff like that.

As the name says (in portuguese, obviously), it's a house with two floors, two dancefloors, a bar, and lots of loungy rooms. There's even an Atari room with Pac-Man arcade!

If you try the tangerine drink (called Tangerina), that mixes juice and vodka, don't let its sweet taste fool you! There is also some fairly priced imported beers, like Sol, and lots of other house drinks. And some munchies that may not be the most delicious thing you've ever eaten, but they do their job in the middle of a dance-your-legs-out night.
