Casa Natal de Morelos Morelia Reviews
The birth house of the Servant of the Nation Aug 28, 2011
Morelos was one of the main Independence war heroes in Mexico. His importance is such, that the city of Morelia is named on his honor.
This museum is located in the house where Morelos was born in 1765. The original house was demolished, and the present building was built in the XIX century.
I thought this place was definitively worth visiting because of its historical importance. Unfortunately there weren't many exhibitions this time, but I could still see the permanent flame in the very room where Morelos was born.
I thought it was very important and emotive, but I also thought how sad and unfair it is that Mexican history is so biased, and other heroes with the same or even higher importance like Iturbide (also born in Morelia) don't get the same respect.
