Staying with a Cuban family May 25, 2008
Lovely, lovely people. Clean, comfortable room. Great food. Great
hospitality and very moderately priced ($20). In general, the casa was great and far, far better than the hotels, and you got to meet Cuban people in their homes, which was the highlight of Cuba for me. Mery y Tania (mother and daughter) rent two bedrooms, fully equipped with air-conditioning, private bathroom with hot and cold water, comfortable double beds. The house is one of the most beautiful residences in Santiago de Cuba (by Cuban standards).
